Rodger Stevens was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Parsons School of Design (NYC) and the School of Visual Arts (NYC). His sculptures, installations, and drawings have been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York, California, Paris and elsewhere since 1993.

Commissions include: The Whitney Museum of Art, The American Folk Art Museum, PS1, The Katonah Museum, The Bristol Museum, Tiffany & Co., Barney's, PS 122, David Rockwell, Jonathan Adler, Todd Oldham, The Rockwell Group, The W Hotel, Mumm's Champagne, Yohji Yamamoto, The New York Children's Museum of Art, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Stuart Weitzman, Sotheby's, MTV, Persol, The Hangaram Museum of Art in Seoul
